  1. Please consider writing and installing an AppData file with the application description and some screenshots, else terminatorX looks really bad in the GNOME and KDE Software Centers. We’d love to showcase more applications, but without the extra data file we can’t.

    See http://people.freedesktop.org/~hughsient/appdata/ for details; thanks!

    1. Thanks for the hint, Richard! Unfortunately it took a while until the new release was finished, but it does contain an AppData file now.

  2. Hello 😀 I am a big fan of terminatorx, I have been using it on my desktop for some time now.

I recently got a new Acer Aspire ES15 laptop on which I installed linux mint 13 xfce(the same as on my desktop) and installed terminatorx (v3.84 the most recent one available in the mint software repository) but for some reason I can’t get it to power on. Using alsa as my driver(k3.19.0-32-generic) just makes it crash. Using osspd-pulseaudio enables the power on button and other functionalities – like scratching – but the sound of the samples is heavily distorted and sped up. Using osspd-alsa enables the power button and plays the samples correctly, but scratching doesn’t work. This is what the terminal tells me https://pastebin.com/TbjdxsxW

    Thanks in advance 🙂

    1. Sorry to hear you are having issues running tX, unfortunately version 3.84 is rather dated by now, I recommend using the current release (4.0.1). I’ve never used Mint, but as it’s Ubuntu based I’d suggest installing tX from my PPA (https://launchpad.net/~alex-lisas/+archive/ubuntu/terminatorx).

To make things worse your distribution seems to be based on a legacy Ubuntu release (12.04). I fear to easily use a current terminatorX release without recompiling it yourself you’ll have to update to something more recent – Linux Mint 18 seems top be based on Ubuntu 16.04, so the packages in my PPA should work fine there.

      Good Luck!

  3. Thank you very much 🙂 I installed the latest mint and installed the tX from your PPA. Works great 😀
